Overview
User Course 'Digital Signal Processing' 
The user courses of SSP are aimed at engineers with basic experience in signals and systems, control, instrumentation, etc. The course cycle consists of two modules, which complement each other perfectly.
The courses are very well suited to obtain a first overview, for consolidation and training. A major factor are the numerous descriptive examples and exercises taken from industrial practice like instrumentation, control, etc. Thus, the event does not only give a broad overview of possible applications, but also provides a solid foundation. Some keyword are: filter design, algorithms, FIR, IIR, multi-rate, spectral transforms, sampling and quantization, simulation technology, digital PID control, adaptive systems with LMS and RLS, adaptive control systems, DSP implementation, potential difficulties, hints, tricks, and recipes, etc.
Please note that we grant discounts for groups of people from the same company that register together.
Module A: Digital Signal Processing and Control
First quarter 2012, date and time follows.

Contents:
- Fundamentals, methods, concepts.
- Filter architectures, properties of filters, limits.
- Design of filters for different applications, problems and recipes.
- Digital control, PID controllers for different plants.
- Modified and enhanced digital controllers.
- Implementation on computers and DSPs, practical aspects.
- Practical software exercises, simulations.
Module B: Advanced Filter Concepts and Adaptive Systems
First quarter 2012, date and time follows.
2 days, CHF 1500 incl. documentation and lunch.
Contents:
- Direct digital design methods, applications, limitations.
- Fundamentals of adaptive systems, LMS, RLS, applications.
- Adaptive systems in control, problems and tricks.
- Advanced adaptive concepts, application examples.
- Practical software exercises, simulations.

- How many people do you register? Note that we grant a 15 % discount for the second person of the same company and 20 % for all other persons of the same company.

You will then receive a confirmation with invoice. Note that the number of participants is limited. Registrations are processed in chronological order.
Refund for cancellations up to two weeks before the event will be the full amount, up to three working days before half the price.
